Guests take in the glow of the midway at the 2024 Renfrew Fair
Anticipation is building as one of Canada’s oldest fairs returns to the Ottawa Valley over the September 4th weekend.
The schedule for the 170th Renfrew Fair has been made available by the Renfrew Agricultural Society, highlighted by another fantastic all-Canadian musical lineup featuring headliners Big Sugar, the Alan Jackson Experience, and Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Gail Gavan.
The weekend will also feature a number of fan favourites like the Thursday truck and tractor pull and Saturday’s showstopping demolition derby, plus agricultural mainstays like cattle shows, 4-H shows, horse and pony pulls, light horse shows, and the main event, a steer, lamb, and hog sale on Saturday night.
Society President Brad Smith says he’s “so happy to invite everyone” to the fair, noting that their directors, volunteers, and sponsors have “worked a pile of hours and days to improve the grounds” and handle new legislation and rule changes to make what he considers “a great family fair.”
