One of the most anticipated summer events of the year is returning to the Pembroke waterfront and downtown streets as the 2nd Annual Buskerfest hits Pembroke on August 22nd and 23rd.
Friday the 22nd the waterfront will be alive with music, dancing and maybe even a clown or two on stilts, you never really know! Saturday sees Pembroke street roped off to traffic and the city will once again be treated to the sights and sounds of tons of street performers all free of charge!
Bethea Summers, Executive Director of the Pembroke Business Improvement Area is the main organizer of the event and she says that there will be a little something for everyone on both days:
Tanya Avery and Jessica Waiting from Century 21 Aspire Realty have come on as the Presenting Sponsors and Summers says that this welcome addition has allowed her to expand the offering of talent this year:
It’s a great opportunity to showcase the kind of talent that exists here in The Ottawa Valley where the spotlight is on small town folks putting on a big downtown show!
If you’re a performer and would like to take part in the event there’s still time to sign up, says Summers:
New this year is a drone show on Friday night as well as tons of eats and fun for the kids and older folks alike.
