Renfrew’s Tim Hortons locations say their national summer camp initiative has climbed higher than ever before thanks to the community’s support.
Camp Day festivities saw $13 million dollars raised across Canada and parts of the United States in support of Tim Hortons Foundation Camps, which bring a new pair of local underserved youth to Camp des Voyageurs in Quyon each summer to develop important life skills, pursue higher education, secure meaningful employment, and ultimately break the cycle of poverty.
Franchise owners Richard and Shelly Dean thank everyone who took part in volunteering or contributing earlier this month, noting that the program has now sent more than 325,000 youth to camp since 1974.
People stopping by their local Tims can still support camp activity year-round by downloading the Tim Hortons app and choosing to round up their orders under community options.
