Here’s the goods on the latest flick to be filmed in Almonte!
Crews are currently filming for ‘Kissing is the Easy Part.’ which sees Beckers on Bridge Street, transformed into White Whale Convenience for the film.
The young adult movie stars Paris Berelc (Alexa & Katie) and Jennifer Robertson (Schitt’s Creek and Ginny & Georgia). The story follows an overachieving student who tutors a wild child in exchange for a college recommendation letter.
Other scenes in progress or completed involve the Almonte Ice Cream Shop and venues Elgin Street.
Over 40 movies have been filmed in Mississippi Mills, and the activity is such an economic driver that the Municipality developed a film policy in 2021 to minimize impacts on residents, property owners and businesses.
