Communities across Renfrew County are being reminded that a new tool is coming to keep kids safe on local roads.
County staff say a trio of automated speed enforcement cameras are being set up in three communities as they aim to reduce speeding and protect vulnerable road users ahead of an influx of children walking and biking to school.
Signage is in place warning drivers about the new cameras along Round Lake Road near Rockland Public School in Laurentian Valley, Petawawa Boulevard near Pine View Public School in Petawawa, and Raglan Street South near St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School in Renfrew.
The county reminds you that speed cameras do allow for a small grace range, but the posted limit is still the legal limit.
