The NASCAR Canada Series will make its debut at Calabogie Motorsports Park this weekend, but the fun will get started a few days beforehand in Renfrew.
The local NAPA Auto Parts location will host a kick-off party on Thursday, a celebration that regional manager Kevin Brown says will build the hype around the much-anticipated event with the help of their racing team’s Kevin Lacroix, who arrives in the Ottawa Valley as one of the fastest drivers in the series.
Brown says there’s no set price for people enjoying the barbeque, but their team is proud to use it to raise donations that will go a long way to helping the Sunshine Coach provide vital transportation to Renfrew-area residents with disabilities.
Visitors who drop by to see Lacroix and the #74 NAPA car can also expect to see plenty of team merch for sale, as well as special 1-day-only promotions in-store and vendors on-site, plus free swag, prize draws, and more that Brown hopes will grow the sport with families from across the county.
The NAPA Racing Kick-Off gets underway at their Renfrew location, 470 O’Brien Road, from 2:00 to 5:00pm this Thursday, July 24th.
