Residents of an Arnprior neighbourhood just off the Madawaska River were given a small shock on the weekend as police combed the area.
The Renfrew and Arnprior OPP explains that a heavy police presence was in place surrounding Wolff Crescent between Jack Crescent and Madawaska Boulevard for around an hour starting just before 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 20th, originally ordering residents to remain indoors or avoid the area as part of an ongoing investigation.
The OPP would lift the shelter-in-place warning at around 4:30 pm before clearing the scene at 5:00 pm, noting that the matter had been resolved.
