The Ottawa Valley’s generosity was on full display on Wednesday, July 16th, as customers flocked to Tim Hortons locations across the region to participate in Camp Day fundraising.
Richard Dean, the owner of both franchise locations in Renfrew, says residents made a massive impact helping underserved kids in our community achieve their full potential by building competence, confidence, character, caring, and connection at Camp des Voyageurs in Quyon.
Proceeds from every hot and iced coffee purchased each and every Camp Day fund the camp experiences for two local youth each and every year, and Richard says the Tim Hortons’ focus on growing and championing charitable efforts like Wednesday is a major reason why he and wife Shelly took on the challenge of being franchise owners a few years ago.
Local totals from this year’s Camp Day are expected in the coming days, but Dean says the turnout at his locations is an encouraging sign their results are continuing to grow just as the Camp Day campaign as a whole has grown since its very first trial run.
Contributions to the Tim Hortons Foundation Camp fund can be made anytime by rounding up your order through the Tims mobile app or by donating through the foundation’s website.
