Horton Township is warning traffic to mind a number of road projects set to happen over the span of two days later this month.
Township staff say crews will be applying surface treatment to a number of roads under their care between July 28th and 29th, urging traffic to avoid certain areas to improve traction on the roadway and minimize wear on the freshly treated roads.
Roads that will be affected include
- July 28: Whitton Road from the Algonquin Trail to Gillan Road
- July 29: Collins Road from Castleford Road to 300 m southeast on Collins Road
- July 29: Pallen Road from Johnston Road to 200 m northeast of Pallen Road
- July 29: Mullins Road from Johnston Road to 200 m northeast on Mullins Road.
The contractor involved will apply a top coat of crusher dust to the finished road, which may result in some dust left over during the curing process that will be swept away within 14 days.
Anyone with questions or concerns is asked to contact Public Works Manager Adam Knapp at 613-432-6271 or email aknapp@hortontownship.ca.
