Police in Mississippi Mills say a serious incident has left one person in critical condition.
The Lanark County OPP were called to the corner of Ann and Church Streets in Almonte just before 8:30 in the morning on Tuesday, July 8th, after a 34-year-old woman was struck by a falling tree while walking at the intersection.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment, while the road remained closed for several hours as part of an ongoing investigation into what happened.
