An arrest has been made following a fatal multi-car crash earlier this week.
Just after noon back on Tuesday, July 8th, police say a vehicle failed to stop and struck three other cars waiting in a construction zone between McGrath Road and Spring Creek Road just south of Eganville.
The victim, an 81-year-old from the area, was pronounced dead at the scene. None of the other drivers suffered serious injuries.
A 61-year-old man from Haliburton now faces charges for dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death, refusing to provide a breath sample, and two charges related to open alcohol in his car at the time.
