
UPDATE: Local police say a wayward deer was to blame for traffic getting squeezed near Lake Dore on Thursday morning.
The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP were sent to County Road 41 (Lake Dore Road) at the bridge over Lake Dore near County Road 30 at 7:00 am after a driver swerved to avoid a deer, leaving the roadway and landing in the ditch.
Officers closed Highway 41 briefly to allow the car to be pulled out and removed from the scene.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

A listener tip is directing traffic away from an ongoing accident this morning in North Algona Wilberforce.
Police and a tow truck are reportedly on the scene near the corner of Lake Dore Road and County Road 30 this morning after a vehicle landed in the ditch near the bridge just east of Lake Dore.
Eyewitness reports suggest the bridge was closed off at both ends as of around 8:15 am today while officers investigate, causing detours towards both Bulger Road and Micksburg Road.
