It has been a long time in coming- 200 years of settlement is what’s called a bicentennial, as the milestone has been achieved in McNab-Braeside Township.
Recreation Director Andrea Lamontagne lets the cat out of the bag.
The Recreation Director says the agenda will include a few surprises- with no homage to the late Liard, and plenty of stories focused on the rural hamlets that dot the Township map.
A deputation from Pikwakanagan will speak on the world’s largest birchbark canoe.
Andrea says bring your appetite in tow.
And leave your ear plugs at home.
Because you only get to do a bicentennial event once, the Township wanted to make certain it was running on all cylinders.
Check it out for yourself, Saturday from 10AM-4PM at the McNab-Braeside Township Office complex on Russett Drive.
