Renfrew County Paramedics were among a crew of rescuers who came to the aid of an injured parachuter Monday.
Around 10:39 a.m. June 23, local paramedics, along with Ottawa police and fire services, responded to the area of Upper Dwyer Hill Road and Ottawa Road 29, into 200 meters in a wooded area.
“Paramedics assessed, treated and transported the patient with serious trauma related injuries,” reads a social media post from the paramedics.
One Paramedic crew, two Community Paramedic Response Units, and the SIERRA team, including the Aerial Response Unit (drone), were activated for the response.
“Thank you to our allied agencies for supporting a well-co-ordinated response with challenging access,” reads the pos.
