Work to keep the Shawville arena in top shape will continue thanks to the community’s help.
The Pontiac Arena Fund committee has announced that they’ve raised another $8,000 during an incredible start to June thanks to the Pontiac Agricultural Society’s recent Community Day event featuring the RCMP Musical Ride.
That money will help make a dent in the bill for refurbishments needed at the arena, which they expect the community will need to cover $700,000 of the estimated $2 million total.
The committee thanks everyone for their support, noting that the community’s generosity and spirit continue to drive the campaign forward.
