TODAY: The Renfrew OPP Detachment will be hosting the 3rd Annual 911 Swing for the Cause Charity Golf Tournament, this Friday at the Renfrew Golf Club! Local officers will be joined by the community and their neighbouring detachments, County of Renfrew Paramedic Service and local fire services for a scramble round of golf starting at 11:00 am. All proceeds from the charity golf tournament will be donated to the Arnprior & District Food Bank AND the Renfrew and District Food Bank. Tickets are $125 per golfer and limited, register online.
TODAY: This Friday, June 20th, retired MPP John Yakabuski is having a dinner at the Rankin Community Centre and you won’t want to miss it! Social hour starts at 5:15 pm followed by dinner at 6:30 pm. The evening’s guest speaker will be former Ontario Progressive Conservative leader Tim Hudak. Only $75 a ticket, and can be purchased at the Valley Gazatte or the Eganville Leader.
TODAY AND TOMORROW: The Town of Renfrew are partnering with the Bonnechere Algonquin First Nation for a two-day community event at Ma-te-Way Park starting this Friday, June 20th at 4:00 p.m. featuring and educational session on the various types of indigenous dancing with Sonny Robbins and the Wisakedjak Drummers. Then, the Kitchi Sibi Women Drummers will welcome guests back to the park on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., alongside an Indigenous Crafts session and a barbeque lunch.
TOMORROW: The First Annual UOV Ringette Golf Tournament is a fundraiser to help keep rising costs down for kids and families in the UOV Ringette community.
