
The Renfrew County Catholic District School Board (RCCDSB) is pleased to announce the following leadership changes across the district, for the
upcoming 2025-2026 school year.
These appointments will ensure that our school communities continue to benefit from strong, faith-based leadership dedicated to academic excellence and student well-being.
“We are blessed to have such dedicated leaders within our board,” said Mark Searson, Director of Education. “Each of these individuals brings a wealth of experience, a deep commitment to
Catholic education, and a passion for student success. We are confident they will continue to build upon the strong foundations of their new school communities and inspire our staff and
students to achieve their full potential.”
The new principal and vice principal deployments are as follows:
● Wendy Klawitter has been appointed Principal of George Vanier Catholic School, where
she is currently serving as Acting Principal.
● Tony Jacyno, currently Principal of St. Thomas the Apostle, will transfer to Our Lady of
Grace Catholic School as its new Principal.
● Sally Douglas will transition from her role as Principal of Our Lady of Grace to become
the Principal of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School.
● Sean Forndran, teacher at George Vanier, has been promoted to a Vice-Principal
position at Bishop Smith Catholic High School.
● Jenni Hurley, currently teaching at Bishop Smith, has been promoted to a Vice-Principal
position and will be on a planned leave for the 2025-2026 school year.
● Erin Welch, currently teaching at St. Joseph’s High School, has been appointed Acting
Vice-Principal of St. Joseph’s High School in Renfrew.
The RCCDSB extends its best wishes to all principals and vice principals in their new roles and
looks forward to a successful 2025-2026 school year
