On a warm sunny morning in Braeside, Red Pine Bay Car Show organizer Brian Gunn would take the stage for one of the last occasions at the event.
Voting was in multiple categories among the approximately ninety entrants- most of which were 1970s muscle cars.
Because of the plethora of competing car show in the decade since the Red Pine Bay venue was first established, Brian Gunn has decided this was to be the final in the series, which will move to Arnprior’s Antrim Truck Stop, and be held on Canada Day in 2026.
Also making her last appearance in the role, Arnprior-Braeside-McNabb Seniors-at-Home coordinator Suzanne Giroux.
Possibly the oldest car on display was that exhibited by Renfrew’s Art Penny- a black 1938 Desoto coupe.
Penny says the discerning eye can determine the precise model year by where the headlamps are situated.
Organizer Brian Gunn will convene another classic car show on Canada Day this year in Renfrew.
And throughout the summer this season, Gunn says there will be the occasional commemorative event at Antrim.
