One Ottawa Valley township is welcoming the visitors from the rest to help mark a special occasion.
McNab-Braeside celebrates 200 years of history, heritage, and community spirit with their bicentennial anniversary on Saturday, June 28th, featuring free, family-friendly games and activities, including a chance to learn, share, and enjoy what the township has to offer.
That includes an opening performance from the Renfrew Highland Pipes & Drums as the day gets underway at 10:00 that morning, as well as Dennis Harrington & Heritage Country and the SALC Brass Ensemble throughout the day, plus a free barbeque, strawberry social, a slide show depicting 200 years of township history at Council Chambers, and a chance to relax inside and outside the Murray Yantha Centre all afternoon long.
The township’s Recreation Director, Andrea Lamontagne, invites residents and neighbours from all surrounding communities to join what will be a once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
