Construction season is in full swing with a number of upcoming projects in Renfrew County.
The Public Works and Engineering Department outlined what’s on the schedule in the recent June report.
Projects that just began or are upcoming include:
County Road 69 (Siberia Road) in the Township of Madawaska Valley. Construction on Siberia Road, from River Road to Sunny Hill Road, was expected to start June 5, and to finish late-August. During construction, areas of Siberia Road will only have one lane open, with lights or workers directing traffic.
County Roads 36 (TV Tower Road) and 51 (Pembroke Street West) in the Township of Laurentian Valley. Construction on TV Tower Road, from Jean Avenue to Forest Lea Road, and Pembroke Street West, from Pembroke City limits to Forest Lea Road, is expected to start June 9, and to finish late-July. During construction, parts of Pembroke Street West and TV Tower Road will only have one lane open, with lights or workers directing traffic. TV Tower Road will be closed for one week, the dates of the closure will be posted to Municipal 511.
County Road 3 (Usborne Street) in the Township of McNab/Braeside. Construction on Usborne Street, from River Road to the Braeside urban limit, is expected to start July 2, and finish early-August. During construction, parts of Usborne Street will only have one lane open, with lights or workers directing traffic.
