Highway 17 in Petawawa at Paquette Road has fully reopened eastbound and is partially open westbound following yesterday’s crash. Temporary traffic lights have been installed on the westbound side while road repairs continue, and drivers should expect delays.
The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks continues to oversee the emergency clean-up. Environmental impacts have been localized, and remediation work along the highway is expected to continue throughout the day.
Ontario Provincial Police and the Ontario Ministry of Transportation will determine when the highway can be safely reopened in full.
