The rehabilitation of Daniel Street in Arnprior is now underway.
Officials are advising the public to be aware of construction on Daniel (County Road 2), from Madawaska Street (County Road 1) to Staye Court Drive.
The County of Renfrew is spearheading the project, in partnership with the Town of Arnprior. Work began May 30, with an anticipated completion date of July 31.
“Work along Daniel Street will include asphalt resurfacing, curb and sidewalk repairs, pavement markings, installation of a new concrete median between Staye Court Drive and Baskin Drive, and installation of infrastructure to support a new pedestrian crossing at the Algonquin Trail,” reads a notice from the county.
Work will also be completed along William Street, between John Street and Daniel Street, including asphalt resurfacing, curb and sidewalk repairs and pavement markings.
“Rehabilitation efforts will require the road to be limited to a single lane of traffic at times during the construction project,” reads the notice. “Traffic control persons will be used to direct traffic through the construction zone.”
Officials thank the public in advance for their patience and co-operation.
