Residents of Petawawa and nearby communities can expect to see more fixed-wing aircraft in the skies from June 2 to June 13. The Canadian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM) will be conducting routine training exercises during this time.
Most flights will take place during daylight hours, but some may run later into the evening on June 2, 3, and 9.
This training is an important part of maintaining readiness and improving operational skills for Canada’s special operations forces. These exercises help ensure the safety and security of Canadians through real-world practice in various environments.
CANSOFCOM is expressing its gratitude to local residents for their support and understanding while these training activities are underway. The organization values the cooperation of the Petawawa community as it carries out this essential work.
