Renfrew’s student athletes can thank the local legion branch for a little extra support with provincial championships looming next week.
Both Renfrew Collegiate Institute and St. Joseph’s Catholic High School are thanking the Legion for a pair of matching $750 donations, which will supply both the Raiders’ and Jaguars’ track and field teams with new equipment.
RCI has already announced several students who will be heading to the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations East Regional track meet at the Terry Fox Stadium in Ottawa this Thursday and Friday for the chance to compete in the Provincial tournament at York University in Toronto during the first week of June.
