Young sluggers in the Pontiac region went around the horn recently to score a major win for the local little leagues.
The Shawville District Recreation Association Minor Ball Program thanks everyone who took part as their players went door-to-door collecting cash, bottles, and cans in support of the local minor ball program.
The Association says the $2,911 raised will help improve and grow the program, continuing a fun, safe, and inspiring place for youth to learn and love the game of baseball.
Meanwhile, fundraising efforts will continue this Friday, May 30th, when they host a spring 3-pitch ball tournament at the local ball diamond.
