Animal lovers across Ontario have a heartwarming opportunity to make a difference this weekend. The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society is inviting the public to its spring iAdopt event, taking place from May 23 to 25 at 12 animal centres across the province.
This special adoption event offers a chance to give a homeless animal the second chance they deserve. For those who have been thinking about adding a furry friend to the family, now is the perfect time. As part of the event, adoption fees will be reduced by 20% for long-term residents — animals who have been waiting much longer than average to find their forever home.
“Springtime brings a wave of new animals into our centres,” said Amanda Eckersley, Manager at the Ontario SPCA Renfrew County Animal Centre. “By opening your heart and home this weekend, you’re giving a homeless animal a fresh start and helping us make room for the next ones who urgently need care.”
Adopting from the Ontario SPCA also comes with many benefits. All adopted animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and they go home with starter food from Royal Canin to help with a smooth transition into their new environment.
