TODAY: The Burnstown Women’s Institute’s annual sale of perennials, vegetable plants, and goodies will take place from 3-6 pm this Friday, May 16th at the Madawaska River Market, 1716 Calabogie Road.
TODAY: The Renfrew Public Library celebrates the Victoria Day Long weekend with a PA Day Rave for kids aged 0 to 13 this Friday afternoon! There’s no school today, so join the dance party at the library! They’ll have the music going and special lights shining for this kid-friendly “rave.” Glowsticks provided, you bring your dance moves! 1pm-1:30 – Ages 0-4, 1:30-2:00 – Ages 5-8, 2:00-2:30 – Ages 9-13. TOMORROW: The Barry’s Bay BIA hosts its signature annual event, Bay Day, along Main Street this Saturday! Enjoy sidewalk sales from local businesses, a live band (Odd Man Out!), local vendors, bouncy castle, classic car show, farmers market (located at the train station), face painting, dog show, and more! Bring the whole family for a full day of shopping, music, food, and fun!
TOMORROW: Renfrew and Area Seniors’ Home Support’s next trivia night is All About Canada! Teams of 4-6 players are invited to don their best red and white outfits and join host Aerik Watson at Karras’ Way, 168 Raglan St South, at 7:00 pm this Saturday, May 17th. Cost: $10/player. Proceeds support essential programming for local seniors and disabled adults.

The Renfrew Wolves will host a Skills and Drills Camp for 2005 to 2010 players starting May 21st, featuring 22 hours of Ice time Skills and Drills Program led By Assistant Coach of the Jr A Wolves and former D1 Defencemen Devin Campbell. Cost is $1,000 + tax per player. Sign up online.
Pickleball Drill Time takes place one hour before the weekly Friday pickleball session at the myFM Centre. Practice your serves, dinking, forehands, and backhands in a self-guided format, sharpening your skills before putting them to use in a game. Please note that this is an unsupervised session. Join them at the arena from 9:00 to 10:00am through the month of May. $2 per session for residents of Renfrew and the neighboring townships. Register online.
