The County of Renfrew and the Beachburg Off-Road Cycling Association are warning outdoor enthusiasts away from a few popular trails due to safety concerns.
Signage is up at a number of bike trails along the southern end of the Renfrew County Forest tract in Beachburg as county crews continue to thin out sections of their red pine plantations.
Both groups say thick regeneration and poor visibility within the plantations make ignoring the closures very dangerous, especially as heavy equipment will be in the area felling and moving trees.
Interfering with logging operations on county forests comes with a $350 fine.
