TODAY:Mr. Will Royle, Provincial Veterans Service Officer will be visiting the Renfrew Legion Branch from 9-5 on May 14th. If any veterans require assistance or information on benefits provided through Veterans Affairs, please contact the Branch at 613-432-6450 before May 8 to request an appointment.
TODAY: The Park & Play Trailer is coming to a neighbourhood park in Renfrew near you! Join us on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00-7:00 pm, from May 7th-June 25th, including this Wednesday at Low Square, just outside town hall! The trailer will have sporting equipment and games for free play.
TODAY: The Renfrew Minor Hockey Association’s Annual General Meeting and Volunteer Appreciation is scheduled for May 14th at 7pm at the myFM Centre. All are encouraged to attend! There will be some pizza, fun and of course a final wrap to the season and planning for next year!
TOMORROW: Financial Advisor Kasia Maves welcomes you to the Renfrew Public Library this Thursday at 6:30 for a seminar on the 10 principles for sound investing for clients and prospects. Participants will learn the most common investing mistakes and how to avoid them, investing strategies to help reach their long-term goals, and what they can do now to prepare for retirement. The Renfrew County 55+ Games return to Renfrew on May 15th, as the Opeongo Bowldrome hosts competitors from across the Ottawa Valley for the bowling event.
Pickleball Drill Time takes place one hour before the weekly Friday pickleball session at the myFM Centre. Practice your serves, dinking, forehands, and backhands in a self-guided format, sharpening your skills before putting them to use in a game. Please note that this is an unsupervised session. Join them at the arena from 9:00 to 10:00am through the month of May. $2 per session for residents of Renfrew and the neighboring townships. Register online.
