The team taking care of McDonald’s franchises in the Ottawa Valley has some fantastic stories to take along with them to the burger chain’s annual conference in Vancouver.
Local Operations Manager Francesca Rakinic says the community was amazing during their McHappy Day celebrations on Thursday, raising $41,000 in support of the ongoing expansion of the Ronald McDonald House at CHEO in Ottawa.
That total doubles the money raised just last year and continues an upward trend for McHappy Day donations in Renfrew County since the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rakinic thanks everyone who made contributions and the community figures who helped behind the counter on Thursday, noting that the stories her team heard from local families who have used Ronald McDonald House amenities made it clear just how impactful their fundraising is each year.
