TODAY/TOMORROW: See the best of amateur wrestling when the Vipers host the Canada East Wrestling Festival at the MyFM Centre Saturday and Sunday. The best youth wrestling teams from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Alberta and Ontario are wrestling in the event. The club welcomes the community to come out to watch and reconnect with past and present wrestling friends and families! Spectator fee is $5/person.
TODAY: Your friends at the Haley Station Firefighters Association are thrilled to announce the Roy Church Memorial Cornhole Tournament! Doubles tournament, Cost is $50/team, with prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers. A portion of the day’s proceeds will be donated to a charity in Roy’s name. TOMORROW: DACA Annual Fish Fry on Sunday, May 11 from 4-6 p.m. Featuring Mike Mundells Surf and Turf. Location is at the Daca Center 111 Flat Rd. Dacre. Cost is $17 in advance and $20 at the door. The Renfrew County 55+ Games return to Renfrew on May 15th, as the Opeongo Bowldrome hosts competitors from across the Ottawa Valley for the bowling event.
Pickleball Drill Time takes place one hour before the weekly Friday pickleball session at the myFM Centre. Practice your serves, dinking, forehands, and backhands in a self-guided format, sharpening your skills before putting them to use in a game. Please note that this is an unsupervised session. Join them at the arena from 9:00 to 10:00am through the month of May. $2 per session for residents of Renfrew and the neighboring townships. Register online.
