The Township of Greater Madawaska is advising the public that one lane of traffic is open on Pucker Street, where a washout closed the road Thursday afternoon.
The closure affected the portion of road between Inglis and Ashdad roads.
“Thanks to our hardworking crews, Pucker Street has had one lane reopened, however one remains closed due to the extent of the damage,” reads a notice.
Work resumed on the road today and drivers are asked to please avoid the area if possible.
