Robble robble! The Hamburglar, aka Pembroke's own Josh Woermke was on hand to help celebrate McHappy Day on Thursday.
Thursday, May 8 marked McHappy Day right across the province, including here in Renfrew and all locations in the Ottawa Valley.
A portion of all of the proceeds from food and beverage sales today will go the Ronald McDonald House nearby CHEO in Ottawa which is currently undergoing a 22 suite expansion.
Long time McDonald’s employee Kathryn shared part of the reason why she has worked for the company for as long as she has:
Over the past 30 years, McHappy Day has raised more than $100 million to support children and families across Canada. These funds have helped Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) keep nearly half a million families close to their sick or injured children during treatment.
However, demand for RMHC programs continues to outpace capacity. Currently, up to four in five families who need support cannot access a Ronald McDonald House due to limited space or lack of a nearby location.
General Manager Chrystal of the Pembroke location is celebrating her 25th McHappy Day and she tells myFM that it’s always a very special day to be part of the McDonald’s Team:
Both Kathryn and Chrystal thank everyone on behalf of the entire McDonald’s team for continuing to make McHappy Day such a huge success!
