The town of Renfrew will be doing a little spring cleaning this week as they flush out a few fire hydrants around town.
Public Works staff are expected to begin the process with hydrants in the area north of Hall Avenue and south of Sidney Avenue and Renfrew Avenue East, as they explain that flushing is part of routine maintenance necessary to maintain the integrity of the local water system.
Residents within the flushing area could see brownish sediment in the water while the work is being done.
If you notice discoloration, run your cold water tap until clear water returns. Public Works urges you to not use your hot water until you have clear water again.
Questions can be sent to the Town of Renfrew at 613-432-4848, and updates will be provided on the town’s website.
