Don’t be surprised to see a packed crowd inside and outside our local McDonald’s all Thursday long.
May 8th is McHappy Day, as McDonald’s locations across the Ottawa Valley will be busy raising money to keep local families attending CHEO close to the vital care they need, according to Operations Supervisor Francesca Rakinic.
Proceeds from food and drink purchases made on Thursday will go directly to supporting CHEO’s Ronald McDonald House as the facility continues to build a 22-suite on-site expansion, helping families with sick kids attending our local children’s hospital stay just a short walk away during treatment.
You can also round up your order or donate $2, $5, or $10 for a McHappy Day Heart, and while the always popular McHappy Day socks are already virtually sold out across the Ottawa Valley, Rakinic says they have a brand new piece of apparel that’s sure to make a statement.
Rakinic adds that she and her Ottawa Valley teams are ready for the expected rush, and they’ll once again be relying on important community figures, like municipal politicians, area celebrities, our local police and fire service members, and other special guests, as our local McDonald’s locations aim to keep pace with the monumental generosity that local diners have become known for.
