The Town of Renfrew has put the call out for trailblazing community members to help develop a new public feature.
They’re looking for volunteers to assist in building the Bonnechere River Hiking Trail, including the creation of bridges and boardwalks, development of switchbacks, pruning trees, as well as install signage and trail markers.
The trail, which would take advantage of unused, town-owned land along the Bonnechere River near Highway 17, has been in discussion at town council for most of the past year.
Interested volunteers are being asked to let the town know by filling out an online survey, or by calling Renfrew’s Manager of Environmental Services, Amanda Springer, at 613-432-4848 ext 307 or by email.
