Communities across the rural Ottawa Valley are picking up the pieces after strong winds tore through the area last night.
Hydro One reports that they are currently aware of several outages in Renfrew County, with the two largest clusters affecting over 1,300 customers in and around Golden and Round Lakes and another 1,100 centered around Foymount.
The power company is also assessing an outage that’s knocked out power for over 600 customers near the Braeside and Sand Point shorelines, plus other notable issues in Rankin, Perrault, the outskirts of Pembroke, and along Pinnacle Road in Horton Township.
Current estimates suggest affected homes could be back online between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm today.
