Hundreds of homes across Renfrew County are still without power as Hydro One gets back to work this morning.
Crews have returned to the Ottawa Valley after strong gusts of wind caused blackouts in several local rural communities last night.
The largest current outage has affected around 800 customers from Beachburg towards Westmeath and to the Ottawa River, which Hydro One expects to be cleared by 8:00 pm tonight.
Other outages have knocked power out for hundreds around the outskirts of Renfrew, as well as Eganville, Lake Clear, Lake Dore, and Rankin, where repair times range from the early morning into the afternoon.
