Renfrew’s O’Brien Theatre is asking: What’s more Canadian than Anne of Green Gables?
“Canadian author who wrote a Canadian book about Canadians living in a small Prince Edward Island town made into a movie with Canadian actors!” reads a social media post promoting a special April screening of the movie. “And for one night only, you’ll get to see it on the big screen, right here in downtown Renfrew!”
The historic Raglan Street theatre has partnered with the Renfrew Public Library to celebrate National Canadian Film Day on Wednesday, April 16.
“Please join us at 6:30 p.m. for the 1980s classic we all know and love!” reads the post.
Admission is free, but there will be a donation jar for anyone who would like make a financial contribution to both the library and the theatre.
Concession will be open and available for movie-goers.
