Gabriel grew up with the support of The War Amps Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program thanks to donations from the public to the Key Tag Service.
Residents of the Ottawa Valley can expect to receive their 2025 War Amps key tags in the mail soon. This year’s mailing is extra special as The War Amps celebrates the 50th anniversary of its Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program. The program provides young amputees with financial assistance for artificial limbs, peer support, and other vital services.
Each key tag has a unique, confidentially coded number. If keys are lost, the finder can call the toll-free number on the back of the tag or drop them in any mailbox across Canada. The War Amps will return the keys by courier, free of charge.
The War Amps does not receive government grants, and its programs are made possible through public support of the Key Tag Service. For more information or to order key tags, visit waramps.ca or call 1-800-250-3030.
