Environment Canada is expecting the next 48 hours in the Ottawa Valley to be particularly wet as milder temperatures return to the area.
The weather agency has released a special statement as they keep an eye on a weather pattern expected to bring around 15 to 25 millimetres of rain to most of Renfrew County starting tonight and extending through to Wednesday evening.
Overnight lows hovering just below the freezing mark will create the chance for freezing rain Tuesday night.
The rainfall, along with melting snow and the limited ability of the frozen ground to absorb the precipitation, may lead to localized flooding in low-lying areas and water pooling on roads.
