Renfrew County Warden Peter Emon
In his address to Renfrew County Council at the end of January, Warden Peter Emon outlined his goals for the year, proposing an operating theme of ‘persistent aggressive.’
Among his goals for 2025 are:
- Addressing the housing and homelessness crisis;
- Fostering economic growth;
- Focusing on community defining initiatives (finalizing made-in-Renfrew County Climate Action Plan, exploring rural transit, improving the “Aging in Place” services for seniors and their families and investigating shared service opportunities)
- Lobbying for Highway 417 expansion; and
- Hosting an Economic Development summit.
Renfrew County Council has adopted a Committe of the Whole structure. The next meeting is Feb. 12 .
