It’s a great way to celebrate the beginning of skate season at the outdoor rink at the Horton Community Centre – the Horton Firefighters Association is hosting a free public skate!
This Saturday, Jan. 18, from 1-3 p.m., the public is invited to come out and skate with firefighters, check out the fire trucks and enjoy hot chocolate, coffee and Timbits.
The rink is scheduled to open Jan. 17.
Officials remind skaters that helmets are highly recommended.
Free open ice times are offered daily and donations are appreciated. Private ice time is available to book, contact the township to arrange.
