Onlookers get ready for a morning of magic at Frew Year's Eve 2024 inside the myFM Centre
Renfrew’s farewell to 2024 capped off an amazing year of creation and growth for the people behind the town’s events planning.
Programs Supervisor Janyne Fraser says the near-capacity crowd at Tuesday morning’s Frew Year’s Eve inside the myFM Centre goes to show the importance of good timing and proper promotion, using all their platforms to attract families looking for holiday fun away from home.
Frew Year’s Eve and that evening’s Dinner and Dance gala put an exclamation point on a year where community members continued to return to town events in droves following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fraser says the top priority for her team over the past year has been to use that renewed interest to welcome fresh ideas from local residents and groups and get plenty of feedback to see what’s working and what isn’t.
Looking ahead, the Recreation & Culture department will not be rocking the boat too much in terms of adding onto their 2025 calendar, as Fraser points out that what they can put on will be ultimately decided by this year’s budget talks.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to check the town’s seasonal Program Guide, which provides details on town-sponsored events happening across the community right up until March.
You can also get a day-by-day look at what’s happening in Renfrew on the town’s events calendar.
