Christmas Day is one of the biggest holidays of the year, with many local businesses taking time off to celebrate the season.
Most grocery stores and other shopping options will close for Christmas, including Walmart, Chris and Tanya’s No Frills, Renfrew Metro, and Giant Tiger. Walmart will return to normal hours on Boxing Day, while the other three will have modified hours on Thursday.
Renfrew’s downtown Rexall and Aikenhead’s Pharmacy will be close for Christmas, and both the Beer Store and LCBO will be closed on Christmas and Boxing Day this year.
Most municipal services and buildings, local banks, and post office locations will remain closed on Wednesday.
There will be mail delivery on Christmas Day, and the Town of Renfrew reminds you that garbage pick up for Boxing Day Thursday will instead be collected on Saturday, December 28th.
