Somebody else has now checked over the McNab-Braeside Township books- again.
Jason Healy, of the firm MacKillican and Associates appeared at Council Tuesday, and gave a thumbs-up to the 2023 fiscal numbers.
There were a number of amounts and categories that we re-stated in the particular accounting year, due to changes in Accounting Standards by Ontario in mid-year.
Deputy Mayor Lori Hoddinott then asked the accountant to elaborate on an unexpected surplus.
Hoddinott then issued a shout out to those responsible.
The Mackillican and Associates spokesperson appeared in part to address a list of questions than had arisen due to concerns over the funding of a piece of equipment needed for landfill maintenance.
Mayor Mark Mackenzie was not present at the meeting, and missed Healy’s presentation
