A first-ever for Renfrew’s hospital and the town’s local junior hockey clubs has left both sides tickled pink.
Renfrew Victoria Hospital’s Pink the Rink weekend with the Renfrew Wolves and Timberwolves was a resounding success, pulling in 34-hundred dollars in support of the hospital’s mammography department.
More than 500 fans enjoyed an exciting weekend of hockey, bidding on limited edition pink jerseys and more to help the hospital save lives, aiding in early detection efforts and helping save lives “one mammogram at a time.”
RVH Foundation Executive Director Patti Dillabough sends her sincere thanks to the Wolves organization for being a big part of making their Breast Cancer Month a huge success, adding that they “look forward to working together on other projects in the future.”
Head Coach Jason Gould shared in the pride of supporting such a meaningful cause. “Seeing our fans fill the stands and show their support for the Pink the Rink event was truly inspiring,” Gould said. “Breast cancer touches so many lives, and we’re honoured to contribute to the RVH Foundation and help make a difference in our community.”
