Don’t get caught sleeping on some possible changes to overnight parking restrictions this winter.
Renfrew Town council have been mulling some changes to the town’s parking by-law, like requiring parked cars to be off the side of the road from midnight to 7:00 a.m. every night starting December 1st, two hours earlier than the current rules call for.
Town staff explain that the move would allow for some added flexibility as their fleet of snow plows clear and maintain local roads throughout the season.
Residents are still welcome to contact town hall with any concerns, and answers to frequently asked questions on topics like how the town prioritizes plowing streets, winter parking restrictions, sanding and salting, snow removal, property lines, what to do if a town-owned plow damages your yard, and more can be found on the town’s website.
