Stuff to do:
TODAY: The Town of Renfrew and the Renfrew Legion welcome you to observe Remembrance Day at the Low Square Cenotaph starting at 10:45 a.m on Monday. Military personnel and veterans will march from the Legion to the Cenotaph ahead of remarks from officials, a brief moment of silence, and the laying of wreaths at the base of the monument. Dress for the weather and show your support by wearing a poppy.
TODAY: The Renfrew Legion is also hosting their annual Remembrance Day dinner, Monday night starting with a social hour at 5:00 p.m. ahead of baked chicken breast with dessert at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $15/person available in the Office & Lounge. Veterans and their caregivers or spouses are free, but please call the office to register at 613-432-6450.
TOMORROW: If you’ve always wanted to try Dungeons & Dragons, but you don’t want to be the only newbie, The Renfrew Public Library has your chance this Tuesday night from 5:00 to 8:00! DM Kat will ease you into the world of D&D from character creation, to decision making, to battling a baddie. Registration required, limited space. Free. Ages 17+. Participants should plan to attend another session on the 26th, as the story continues.
TOMORROW: The first Tuesday of every month is Kid’s Night in McNab/Braeside! This month’s activity is the Taylor Swift McNab/Braeside Tour! Dress up as fun and colourful as you wish! There will be karaoke, bracelet crafts, cupcake decorating and more! 5:30PM – 7:00PM at the Murray Yantha Centre. Ages 6-12, $15 per child. Register online.
