TODAY: The annual Tea & Talent Sale at the St. Francis Xavier Parish Hall at 331 Plaunt St. South on Saturday, Nov. 9, from noon to 3 p.m. Shop from a great selection of homemade baked goods, preserves, crafts, books, Christmas decor and jewelry, then step into our Tea Room to enjoy tea or coffee as well as fancy sandwiches and dessert squares.
TODAY: Join your Renfrew Wolves on Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at myFM Centre as they take on the Pembroke Lumber Kings in a special Remembrance Day game. This night is dedicated to honouring the brave men and women who served our country. All veterans from the local Legion branch and active Canadian Armed Forces members are invited to attend for free. Simply show your veteran’s card or if you’re an active Canadian Armed Forces Member dressed in uniform for free entry.
TOMORROW: Food Bank Fundraiser at Fractured Crow Studio on Sunday, Nov. 10, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring homemade soup lunch, country trails to walk (dog friendly). Come out and enjoy the beautiful property, enjoy a hike, browse the artisans’ crafts and start your holiday shopping early while supporting the food bank at the same time. Non perishable food and cash donations will be accepted. Find Fractured Crow at 982 Fraser Rd.
TOMORROW: Calabogie hosts its Remembrance Day ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. at the cenotaph on Madawaska Street.
ALL WEEKEND: Don’t miss out on the 3rd Annual Cobden Christmas Market, this Saturday and Sunday at the Cobden Agricultural Hall on Astrolabe Road. Check out all varieties of delightful creations from more than 40 vendors, who will be happy to help you find the perfect fit for every name on your list from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm both days! Admission is free! (This event has no relation with the Cobden Farmers’ Market)
